What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Obtain medical records documentation needed for coding from partner facilities
  • Communicate with external facility staff and internal teams professionally
  • Enter data into Excel tracking workbooks and prepare reports as needed
  • Monitor and track clinician responses to documentation deficiencies
  • Assist with the maintenance of team playbooks and coding reviews
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • CPC-A certificate from AAPC or CPC with limited experience in anesthesia
  • Minimal coding experience with a basic understanding of documentation guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to type 50 words per minute
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience working in a medical records department or medical clerical experience
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to self-motivate and initiate new projects
  • Experience with coding platforms relevant to the role
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality policies
