Overview

About St. Francis Recovery Center: Part of Catholic Charities Maine, St. Francis Recovery Center is a trusted leader in residential substance use disorder treatment. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care to help individuals reclaim their health, stability, and hope.

We are urgently seeking a Part-Time (8-12 hours per week) Medical Provider/Director to join our team of committed and caring professionals dedicated to bringing health, recovery, and stability to the lives of those struggling with chemical dependencies, substance use disorders, and other co-occurring use disorders. This position offers flexibility, competitive compensation, and prorated liability insurance reimbursement.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct initial medical clearances and determine medical necessity for clients entering our residential treatment program
  • Serve as Medical Director for the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) division of Catholic Charities Maine
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and telehealth platforms to deliver high-quality care
  • Perform e-prescribing duties, including controlled substances (EPCS)
  • Collaborate with an experienced, compassionate multidisciplinary team
  • This position is part time 8-12 hours per week split between Wednesday and Friday of each week, these are onsite hours, while other tasks may be completed remotely based on programmatic need.

Salary: $140 - $200 per hour. Actual starting salary is contingent with experience/education.

Qualifications

What We re Looking For:

  • Licensed MD or DO in good standing with the State of Maine (Suboxone Waiver strongly preferred)
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years  experience in substance use disorder treatment
  • Skilled in telehealth service delivery and EHR documentation
  • Empathetic, flexible, and efficient in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Comfortable working with clients in a criminogenic (justice-involved) environment
