Position Title:
Bilingual In-Home Clinician
Program: Intensive Home Based Therapy program
General Statement Of ResponsibilitiesThe In-home Clinician is responsible for direct services with children, adolescents, and their families. Responsibilities include evaluation/assessment, home & community-based services, outreach, case and care management, individual and family therapies, crisis intervention, record keeping, collaboration with other professionals, and related community services. The clinician is assigned to carry a pager and responds to all calls for assistance by telephone or in person, providing the majority of treatment services in the clients' homes and working a flexible schedule based on case needs.

Interns and/or those designated by supervisor.
- Provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment plans, and treatment for children, adolescents, and families, including assessment, home and community services, outreach, case management, therapies, and crisis intervention.
- Implement treatment plans that may include psychotherapy and support services such as translation, transportation (per agency policy), advocacy, and linkage to other services.
- Provide community outreach and treatment services in various settings, primarily in clients' homes, during late afternoons, evenings, overnight, and weekends.
- Work a flexible schedule based on family needs.
- Carry a pager and be available for after-hours emergency mobile services, including phone and face-to-face interventions.
- Maintain contact and follow-up with families, including daily home visits and therapies.
- Maintain confidentiality and required documentation.
- Meet productivity standards set by the Program Coordinator.
- Collaborate with team members and involved parties.
- Engage families in service planning and decision-making.
- Participate in case planning, conferences, trainings, and staff meetings.
- Serve on community committees as assigned.
- Report to supervisor and supervise assigned staff or interns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate clinical knowledge for crisis intervention. Able to work effectively with families and professionals, communicate well in writing and verbally, and work a flexible schedule. Must understand diverse cultural communities, especially in greater Waterbury, and be able to read, write, translate, and interpret in Spanish.
Education & ExperienceMaster’s Degree in marriage and family therapy, social work, or related field, with at least one year of clinical internship working with children, adolescents, or families. Connecticut licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or Doctorate Psychologist) preferred. MSW candidates must have LMSW years of post-graduate clinical experience preferred, especially in family therapy and systems theory.
Licensure/Certification /RegistrationValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, CPR, and first aid certification.
