    • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) – Peace Valley Haven Inc.

    As an LMSW at Peace Valley Haven Inc., your role involves empowering adult men and women in a shelter environment to achieve self-sufficiency.

    Key responsibilities include:

  • Client Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments, identify psychosocial needs, and provide appropriate diagnoses using evidence-based methods.
  • Resource Connection: Develop individualized service plans, linking clients to housing, employment, mental health services, substance use treatment, and other community resources.
  • Counseling and Support: Provide therapeutic support to address trauma, life challenges, and behavioral issues, fostering resilience and personal growth.
  • Life Skills Training: Facilitate workshops on budgeting, job readiness, communication, and other critical skills to help clients achieve independence.
  • Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for clients, ensuring access to public benefits, healthcare, and legal aid, while addressing systemic barriers.
  • Case Management: Monitor progress through regular follow-ups, adjust service plans as needed, and document all interactions and outcomes.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to emergencies with appropriate de-escalation techniques and support, ensuring client and staff safety.
  • Collaboration: Partner with community organizations, government agencies, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize services for clients.
