Mgr-Supply & Logistics

This role plans, controls, directs, and evaluates all activities related to the operations of supply management, inventory control and receiving. It develops, implements, and monitors strategies for supply costs reduction and utilization management, and manages the supply/inventory control information system.

• Bachelor's degree (required).

• 5 years of supervisory experience.
• 3 years of purchasing/supply distribution or related experience.
• Experience managing pre-programmed databases.

• Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel throughout and between facilities and work a flexible schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on‑call availability).

• Manage the delivery of optimal supply management services.
• Establish and interpret regulatory, departmental, and quality standards.
• Assist in the daily operations of the department.
• Develop goals consistent with departmental and organizational plans.
• Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of materials management information systems pertaining to supply management.
• Ensure employees are motivated to achieve functional objectives and provide assistance to enhance development.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards, or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility, and ensure compliance with all such laws, regulations, and standards.

Physical and Environmental Demands:
Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, walking or standing for brief periods. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods. No exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue in routine duties. No occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases. Potential exposure to hazardous medications or waste in the healthcare setting.
