Position Overview
This position will aid the School of Kinesiology by providing support for the LACE Lab to carry out a funded research project to adapt a sedentary behavior intervention for cancer survivors with chronic pain. The role may involve administrative coordination, relationship‑building, regulatory management, and data collection.

Summary:
The goal of the Stand UP for CIPN Study is to work with invested individuals to adapt the Stand Up for Your Health (SUP) intervention for post‑treatment cancer survivors with chronic CIPN. We will first work together to identify changes that need to be made; discuss where, when, and how to deliver the program; discuss how to recruit individuals. After these changes are incorporated, we will provide feedback and finalize the plans.
Up to 15 individuals (post‑treatment cancer survivors with chronic CIPN) will be recruited to participate in the research study where they will complete assessments before, immediately after, and one month after the end of the intervention.

This position is a one year from hire position. The approx. hours per week is 10.
Job ResponsibilitiesStudy Management (40%)
- Collaborate with the PI and research team to plan, coordinate, and monitor study activities.
- Develop and maintain study timelines, calendars, and task trackers.
- Manage lab communications, including website updates and shared calendars.
- Use and manage shared platforms including UMN Box, Google Drive, and REDCap.
- Build and maintain relationships with investigators, community partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Support coordination of meetings, including agenda preparation and follow‑up documentation.
Data & Documentation Oversight (40%)
- Prepare and maintain study‑related documentation:
- Protocol worksheets
- Procedural manuals
- Adverse event reports
- IRB submissions and amendments
- Meeting agendas and minutes
- Ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of data collection efforts.
Recruitment & Data Collection (20%)
- Support participant recruitment and consenting processes.
- Assist with data collection and entry as needed.
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with human subjects research
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to advocating for an inclusive environment for all backgrounds and identities
- M.S Degree
- Background in kinesiology, exercise science, behavioral medicine, or related field
- Experience working with cancer survivors clinical populations
- Clinical research experience or familiarity with IRB processes and clinical trial management systems
