As the largest Co-operative Pharmacy group, our pharmacies offer so much more than just exceptional patient care! From prescriptions and flu vaccines to podiatry, we’re passionate about looking after the health needs of our patients.
This is a key role in fulfilling the wider needs of our pharmacy branches, by supporting the provision of pharmacy services remotely. We are looking for an innovative and driven pharmacist to join our passionate team, where you’ll play a key role in the future of pharmacy services.
Whilst working in a remote setting, you will provide a range of services over the telephone to our patients, placing an emphasis on customer care. As a key figure in the local community, you’ll be making a real difference to the health and wellbeing of your customers and members. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as a support point for our pharmacies through conducting remote service consultations via telephone and/or video call, supporting patients with medication adherence, addressing any concerns or side effects, and providing evidence‑based advice in line with NHS guidelines.
- Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions, suggesting changes or alternative treatments when appropriate.
- Assisting patients in managing long‑term conditions by providing guidance on medication adherence and lifestyle modifications.
- Providing information about potential side effects and answering any questions patients may have about their medications.
- Promoting wellness by educating patients on preventive health measures and offering advice to support their overall wellbeing.
Please note that this role operates on a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will primarily work from home; however, there will be a requirement to attend the office on an ad hoc basis for meetings, collaboration and other business‑related activities, as and when required.
