- This position pays between $17.00 - $18.15 based on experience
- This position is an onsite role, and candidates must be able to work on-site
- Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity/compliance checks, provide proper patient instructions, collect insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and utilize an overlay tool while delivering excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable.
- Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service with compassion.
- Hold accountability for point-of-service goals as assigned.
- Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected, including accounts for other employees, departments, and facilities. Conduct audits and provide statistical data to leadership.
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, handling inbound/outbound calls to obtain demographics, insurance, and financial liability information, including point-of-service collections and payment plan options.
- Explain general consent for treatment forms, obtain signatures, and distribute educational documents such as Important Message from Medicare, Tricare, Observation Forms, MOON form, and other required forms.
- Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system, select applicable insurance plan codes, and enter benefit data to support point-of-service collections and accurate claim rates.
- Screen for medical necessity using the Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) software to inform Medicare patients of potential non-payment and distribute ABN as appropriate; also distribute and document other designated forms and pamphlets.
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- CRCR Required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)
