Overview

The IUH Diabetes Center is an accredited program with ADCES. This position supports Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self-Management Education for the Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic and pediatric specialty teams, with availability for group education as well as general nutrition support for IU Health. The role reports to IU North, Riley Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic and Methodist Professional Center. Diabetes experience is preferred but not required.

Partial remote work may be available.

• Provide optimal nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients using the Nutrition Care Process (nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation) in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate nutrition education tailored to the patient/client needs.
• Precept dietetics and other health professional students.
• Independently order diets as appropriate.
• Support Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self-Management Education within maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric specialty teams and participate in group education as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in dietetics or a related field required.
• Current and active Indiana Dietitian License and Dietetic Registration required at time of application for this position.
• Ability to develop medical care plans.
• Diabetes experience is preferred but not required.
