United Surgical Partners International, the country’s largest ASC platform, is currently seeking a Surgery Center Administrator for Northridge Surgery Center
.
Northridge Surgery Center is located in Hendersonville, TN and is accredited by the Joint Commission. The facility has 3 operating rooms and 1 procedure room, with state‑of‑the‑art equipment that supports procedures in ENT, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastics, Podiatry and Spine.
Job Summary- Direct, coordinate, and control all aspects of the operating functions, processes, and staff of the facility while ensuring efficient surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.
- Daily operation of the facility.
- Act as liaison between the Governing Board, the Medical Staff, and all departments.
- Report pertinent activities to the Governing Board on a regular basis.
- Appoint a responsible person for the facility in the Administrator’s absence.
- Plan services and operations of the facility.
- Overall management of the Partnership as outlined in the Operating or Limited Partnership Agreement.
- Lead discussions and presentations during the Monthly Operations Review call with USPI’s Home Office team.
- Deploy, monitor, and ensure that USPI’s EDGETM forms the foundation of the facility’s operational processes and is integrated within the QPI program.
- Ensure compliance with USPI’s policies and procedures related to internal controls.
- Develop, monitor, and control staffing needs, operations budget, and capital budget.
- Develop, monitor, and control purchasing plan, staying within the proposed budget and maintaining compliance with group purchasing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with government regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
- Negotiate and control all external contracts, such as those with physicians, ancillary services, plant maintenance, and purchasing agreements.
- Establish pricing for procedures based on cost analysis and local market standards.
- Foster positive work relationships among all departments and act as liaison between USPI’s Home Office and all staff at the facility.
- Develop and ensure compliance with appropriate departmental policy and procedure manuals for use by the staff.
- Closely monitor financial performance variations to avoid cash‑flow problems.
- Hold monthly staff meetings outlining goals and priorities of the facility.
- Manage exempt and non‑exempt employees in accordance with facility policies.
- Review employee performance evaluations by managers, ensuring reviews occur as scheduled or at least annually.
- Review and approve disciplinary action and/or discharge of employees.
- Evaluate management performance and other staff as designated.
- Approve additions or deletions of positions and approve applicants for employment in new or vacant positions.
- Develop employee productivity analysis using USPI’s Staff Tracker, and ensure efficient staff levels.
- Implement a program of job‑based orientation, training, and ongoing evaluation for all employees.
- Manage all employee files and records.
- Provide educational opportunities for professional staff development and promote positive customer relations.
- Ensure surgical programs and clinical services comply with regulatory and accrediting standards.
- Work with the Medical Director and Medical Executive Committee on evaluation and development of existing and new surgical services.
- Manage the clinical departments (nursing, central supply, medical records, housekeeping) and supervise contracted services (laboratory, radiology, pharmaceuticals, laundry, biomedical engineering).
- Monitor adequate function of surgical and patient‑care equipment through contracted services.
- Develop and implement a sales/marketing plan and lead the facility’s sales team in accordance with USPI’s Sales Plan.
- Identify and develop new services appropriate for ambulatory surgery centers.
- Foster positive public relations, marketing, and planning.
