Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Coordinator, reporting directly to the Executive Director, plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, facilitating, and overseeing a comprehensive life enrichment program. The coordinator partners with residents, families, and community team members to ensure programs reflect resident interests, abilities, and life stories, ultimately fostering health, purpose, and joy.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and leading community activities, holiday celebrations, and special events.
  • Introduce new residents and their families to the community’s life enrichment programs.
  • Coordinate holiday decoration displays for the community.
  • Contribute to resident assessments by ensuring completion of Life Stories.
  • Take activity attendance and complete family messaging in Cedarhurst’s electronic platform.
  • Attend monthly virtual education meetings provided by Home Office Support.
  • Drive community bus for outings and appointments as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication with residents’ families about care and well‑being.
  • Work well with others, take direction from management, and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • License to drive the community bus or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • CPR or BLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), web‑based platforms, electronic health record systems, and related HR systems.
Working Conditions
  • Requires walking or standing for extended periods and moving throughout the community.
  • May require stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or climbing.
  • Requires effective communication and written interpretation skills.
  • May lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
  • Must follow infection prevention and control protocols, including PPE usage.
  • Involves participating in staff activities to foster teamwork and morale.
  • Must stay current on training and ongoing education initiatives and pursue self‑improvement opportunities.
