Behavioral Health Utilization Management Care Coordinator / RN / LPC / LCSW / LMFT - Whole Person Care – Hybrid – Roanoke Region
Position Status: Full-time, permanent (40 hours/week)
Location: Roanoke Region (Roanoke, Lexington, Covington, Bedford, Radford, Martinsville, and surrounding areas). Hybrid: up to 2 days travel per week for community visits and 3 days working from home.

OverviewResponsible for reviewing clinical information received from providers to ensure data meets Medical Necessity Criteria and authorizing services accordingly. Requires knowledge of managed care contracting, Medical Necessity, CMHRS services, BH and ARTS services, DMAS protocols, clinical protocols and review requirements, as well as contractual, regulatory, and compliance requirements for government, self‑funded, and commercial payers. Ensures accurate data entry into claims system for payment processing.
Education- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy (required). For Registered Nurses, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required).
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – state license (Virginia or North Carolina)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – state license (Virginia or North Carolina)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) – state license (Virginia or North Carolina)
- Registered Nurse (RN) – licensed in Virginia or North Carolina (single- or multi-state)
- 2 years of behavioral health (required)
- 1 year of case management (required)
