Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Project Manager 2 who will manage all aspects of clinical implementation projects for business operational readiness, from start to finish, so that it is completed timely. The Project Manager 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Project Manager 2 designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; takes action to resolve operational issues and minimize delays.
- Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project.
- Develops and maintains project schedules, RAID log and other artifacts.
- Communicate with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
- Organizes, facilitates, and documents meetings with senior leadership, project team, and others as needed to understand overall health of project, ongoing challenges, process gaps, analytics, and leadership expectations.
- Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project team to meet project targets and milestones.
- Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources to ensure project stays on track.
- Provides status reporting on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues and paths to green.
- Escalates and track to resolution all potential issues/problems to leadership as appropriate.
- Create and manage the operational roadmap for state implementations with support from leadership.
- Serve as an active and strategic contributor to the team by proactively seeking knowledge, asking insightful questions, exploring alternative solutions, and demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Understands department, segment and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
- Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
- Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of business project management experience.
- Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to deliver clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communications.
- Strong proficiency in presentation design and visualization.
- PMP Certification.
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Working knowledge of Medicaid business and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Humana clinical programs.
- Workstyle: This is a remote position.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- Travel: This position involves occasional travel, estimated at up to 5% which may include travel to locations outside the associate’s state of residence.
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
- Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
