You will work across a range of medical affairs accounts, delivering outstanding work while being highly organized and forward-thinking to meet client expectations. Key therapy areas include oncology, rare diseases, cardiovascular and obesity.

Role & Responsibilities- Provide high-level medical writing support within accounts, achieving writing excellence across therapy areas and the communication mix and target audiences
- Review written scientific documents for writing style, strategy, content accuracy and fact/data checking, and provide constructive feedback, ensuring scientific accuracy
- Act as the Technical Lead on designated client projects
- Apply expertise to the development of strategic communications programmes across accounts
- Ensure all assigned projects are delivered to the highest editorial and scientific standards, to deadline and within budget
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and external thought leaders
- Manage workload and that of junior writers, monitor project budgets, anticipate resource needs, and support process development
- Stay up to date with industry codes of practice/legislation and external issues affecting accounts
- Monitor project costs against budgets and notify Client Services of changes to specification
- Coach others in developing content for a range of medical communications projects
- Contribute to the development of account plan forecasts with client services leads
- Research and contribute to writing and review of new business proposals and pitches, from strategy to delivery
- Identify potential new business opportunities within assigned accounts
- Degree (science, preferably life science);
PhD or MSc desirable - 3+ years of medical writing experience in a medical communications agency
- Scientific knowledge and understanding
- Proficiency in delivering high-quality written work
- High level of drive, motivation, and initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of industry guidelines and best practice and their application
