In partnership with Maryland’s Developmental Disabilities Administration, Liberty Healthcare operates a statewide program that develops continuous quality improvement processes, enhancing person-centered service delivery and support for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

To support this initiative, Liberty is now hiring for a full-time Utilization Reviewer position.

• Conducting audits of services provided to people with developmental disabilities
• Heavy database usage
• Reviewing and analyzing Medicaid claims
• Analyzing actual services provided against contracted service levels and hours
• Conducting in-person and phone/video interviews of individuals served as well as their caregivers
• Writing summary reports

• $55,000 annual salary
• 30 days of paid time off annually

This is a remote first position which will allow you to primarily work from your home office. Travel throughout the Maryland Eastern Shore, Anne Arundel County, and other locations throughout Maryland is required and estimated at 15%.

The work schedule for this position is primarily Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm with occasional requirements for after-hours work.

• Three or more years of experience in human services required, ideally in one of these areas:
  • Supporting people who are living with developmental disabilities
  • Service coordination
  • Case management
  • Utilization review
  • Prior authorizations
  • Claims reviews
  • Healthcare billing
  • Analyzing healthcare or human services data
• Bachelor’s degree and solid computer skills
• Familiarity with the State of Maryland’s Developmental Disabilities Administration and Home and Community Based Services is helpful
