Medical Insurance Biller

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Medical Insurance Biller with Anchor Community Services. The position is based in Decatur, GA, with an opportunity for some remote work. Responsibilities include processing behavioral health insurance authorizations and claims, managing billing for medical services, working with insurance companies to address claim denials, ensuring accuracy in ICD-10 coding, and verifying patient eligibility for Medicaid and other insurance plans.

Additional duties may include maintaining accurate financial records, resolving billing issues, and supporting internal teams with insurance-related inquiries.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-10 coding standards
• Experience with behavioral health/medical insurance practices, including verifying patient eligibility and handling Medicaid claims in the state of GA
• Expertise in processing and resolving insurance claim denials
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with insurance companies and clients
• High attention to detail and accuracy in billing and record‑keeping
• Proficiency with billing software and tools is a plus
• Prior experience in medical billing or equivalent roles preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical billing is advantageous
• DBHDD service rules/regulations
