Position: Patient Financial Services Specialist (Hospital Billing) Remote

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Utilize the Epic Hospital Billing System to manage and monitor accounts through various work queues
  • Handle billing and follow-up activities for complex inpatient and outpatient accounts
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve payment issues and denials
  • Document all actions taken within the Epic system to ensure transparency and compliance
  • Identify and elevate any problem accounts or denial trends to management promptly
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounts receivable experience
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Strong working knowledge of Epic Hospital Billing workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize accounts effectively
  • Proficient in oral and written communication, along with professional telephone and email etiquette
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience in Revenue Cycle Accounts Receivable
  • Familiarity with EPIC systems and processes
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently
