- Act as a liaison between various departments, vendors, and senior administration, managing committee meetings and communications
- Monitor market trends for potential cost-saving opportunities and improvements in product/service standardization
- Lead and coordinate product conversions using advanced project management tools
- Screen and analyze new product requests to ensure compliance with standardization and cost containment initiatives
- Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in purchasing or contracting with project management experience, or clinical experience with medical product proficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field, or three (3) additional years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with staff and vendors
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, contract analysis, and financial analysis
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology and medical supply product knowledge
- Clinical and/or analytics experience
- Program or project management experience
- Knowledge of contracts and specifications for complex medical products
- Understanding of the medical vendor community and Group Purchasing Organizations
- Familiarity with project management techniques
