Medical Biller & Denial Specialist - Remote See States

• Analyze and resolve insurance claim denials for DME supplies by generating effective written appeals
• Review denied claims to ensure appropriate coding and make necessary corrections
• Investigate claims with no payer response to confirm receipt by the payer
• Identify trends or patterns in denials to prevent future errors
• Collaborate with coders and billing managers to address coding issues and support quality improvement initiatives

• Minimum of three years of experience in DME billing/coding
• Experience with collections of insurance claims
• Background in Medicare and/or Medicaid
• Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) processes
• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience with EDI transmission
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to stay current with compliance and regulatory guidelines
• Proficient understanding of coding and medical terminology
• Critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve claims effectively
