OverviewSentara Care Plex, Hampton, Virginia – Emergency Department Floor Holds RN – Temp 14‑week contract, 36 hours/week, 7 pm–7 am. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YRS OF RECENT HOSPITAL RN BEDSIDE EXPERIENCE. $70 per hour.
Requirements EducationAssociates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
Certification / Licensure- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN ER experience. The Emergency Department contains 43 beds, including 11 fast‑track beds.
Responsibilities- Assessing and admitting patients
- Performing rounding checks
- Administering medications
- Communicating with family members
- Being responsible for the overall care of patients
- Medical, Dental, Vision plans

Sentara Care Plex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224‑bed technologically advanced, acute care facility and Certified Primary Stroke Center. In addition to emergency services, the hospital offers specialized care in heart and vascular, urology, advanced diagnostics, surgical capabilities, a hospitalist program, and hosts one of the state’s busiest emergency departments. The Orthopedic Hospital at Sentara Care Plex is the region’s first dedicated orthopedic hospital.
