CompensationBase pay range: $23.11/hr – $39.36/hr
Minimum offer: $23.11/hr
Maximum offer: $35.29/hr
- Handle inpatient, outpatient, ED, Home Health & Hospice records, and professional fee services for PMG specialty providers.
- Use ICD-9/10 CM and CPT‑4 classification systems to assign appropriate codes, including CPT, ICD, and MS‑DRG.
- Review complete medical records, research as needed using multiple systems.
- Lose documents if missing and generate queries to ensure all encounters are coded.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements from all jurisdictions, including ICD‑9/10 CM, CPT‑4, HCPCS, DRG, APC, and HHRG updates.
- Resolve pre‑bill edits, denials, and other issues for assigned accounts.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must hold any one of the following coding certifications at hire: CCS, CCS‑P, CPC‑H, or RHIT/RHIA, and obtain the certification within one year.
- Three to five years experience as a coder.
