Educational and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or GED;
Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound or equivalent. Accepted certifications include CFPSW, CPSW, or CWF. You should have current experience as a peer and be willing to acquire certification in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Role of a Peer Support Specialist:

• Work from home maintaining HIPAA compliance and focus requiring a distraction‑free private office space.
• Speak with callers over the phone and connect with people.
• Build rapport and client engagement.
• Provide available resources or information needed.
• Remain calm and professional while multitasking and supporting callers.

Protocall Services is a national leader in crisis intervention, providing effective solutions and resources 24/7. The role includes working holidays and weekends, with a primary work schedule of 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM Mountain Time (MT). You will engage with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL), building empowering peer relationships with individuals seeking support. Ongoing meetings, training, and team‑building activities occur regularly, and confidentiality must be handled professionally.
