Base pay range
: $23.11/hr – $39.36/hr.

Now hiring a Remote DRG/PCS IP Facility Coder for a full‑time position. The role is located at the Reverend Hugh Cooper Administrative Center, and work days are scheduled in the United States.
Responsibilities- Code inpatient, outpatient, ED, Home Health, Hospice, and professional fee services using ICD‑10‑CM, CPT‑4, and related classification systems.
- Review the complete current medical record and assign appropriate CPT, ICD, and MS‑DRG codes for financial reimbursement.
- Research medical records through multiple systems and generate queries when needed to complete coding in a timely manner.
- Take responsibility for accounts receivable by identifying missing documents and ensuring all encounters are coded.
- Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, including ICD‑10‑CM, CPT‑4, HCPCS, DRG, APC, and HHRG updates.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must hold at least one of the following coding certifications at time of hire: CCS, CCS‑P, CPC‑H, RHIT, or RHIA. The certification must be achieved within one year of hire.
- Three to five years of professional coding experience required.
