Job Duties:

The Inpatient Coder assigns the correct ICD and CPT codes to hospital admission, emergency department, and ancillary service encounters for accurate and timely submission to all third‑party payers.

• Assign ICD and CPT codes to hospital admission, emergency department, and ancillary service encounters.
• Ensure accurate and timely coding for all third‑party payers.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of additional post‑secondary health‑related program preferred.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS‑P, CPC or CCA required with current AHIMA or AAPC certification.
• Continuing education status preferred.
• E&M and/or hospital coding experience preferred.
• 2–3 years of coding experience.

Full‑time;
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Flexible scheduling available. Remote work may be an option after training and successful demonstration of coding competencies.
