Competent Care is an accredited Early Intervention Program in New York City, staffed with New York State licensed and certified professionals. Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate children's functional abilities and daily living skills.
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to promote children's participation in activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to integrate therapeutic strategies into the children's routines.
  • Monitor and document progress towards goals, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate and empower family members and other caregivers to support the child’s development and participation in natural environments.
  • Manage scheduling and caseload based on personal availability and capacity.
Qualifications
  • Valid NYS license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in pediatric occupational therapy or early intervention preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse families and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
