Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a behavioral healthcare group at a 358-bed, acute-care hospital with an adjacent psychiatric hospital located in Perry County, Kentucky.
Responsibilities- Psych Nurse Practitioner provides and directs the delivery of psychiatric services under the supervision of a delegated Psychiatrist.
- The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a clinician who is responsible to assess, diagnose, treat, and provide case management for clients with psychiatric and chemical dependency problems.
- The NP therapeutically intervenes in complicated mental health problems using psychotherapy, medication management, and other interventions available.
- Assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care activities, and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment.
