Position

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – (Outpatient) Lowell, MA

Fantastic Opportunity to join a leading community health center that provides caring, quality and culturally competent health services to the people of Greater Lowell, to reduce health disparities and enhance the health of the Greater Lowell community; and to empower each individual to maximize their overall well being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, and psycho-pharmacological evaluations and treatment to clients in Behavioral Health.
  • Evaluate the physiological, neurological, and psychopharmacological status of the program's clients.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication.
  • Participate in the development of diagnostic formulations and treatment plans, as well as attendance and participation in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Provide direct counseling therapy, when indicated.
  • Participate in utilization review, peer review and quality management programs.
  • Coordinate and foster collaborations with community agencies and hospitals in the care, treatment and services of patients.
  • Provide supervision and consultation to other disciplines as assigned.
  • Work closely with other Behavioral Health clinicians and primary care team for an integrated care approach.
