Production Coding Specialist III - Remote

• Review documentation for required elements, including attestations and signatures
• Abstract and code surgical procedures from CPT and crosswalk to ASA
• Apply appropriate modifiers and code ICD

• Identify and assign care team providers while ensuring compliance with medical direction
• Meet team KPIs, including daily production and quarterly coding audit scores

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 5+ years of complex surgical coding and 4+ years of anesthesia coding experience
• Current CPC certification required; CANPC certification is a plus
• Experience with multiple EMRs and documentation types, including handwritten and electronic records
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF
• Intermediate Outlook skills
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate on new projects
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of employees
