• Serve as a point of contact for processing prior authorization requests in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements
• Review internal workflows to determine if requests require prior authorization review or redirection
• Enter data into a proprietary system to generate cases for medical and behavioral health reviewers
• Collaborate with physician’s offices to obtain necessary information for prior authorization requests
• Address requests promptly and courteously while meeting established Utilization Management Intake objectives

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 – 3 years of experience in a Coordinator role focused on prior authorization requests or relevant healthcare experience
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows PC applications
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating situations and prioritize assignments in a remote environment

• Experience in claims or appeals and grievances within the healthcare sector
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to productivity
• Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
