Overview
Help us ensure that Rutland District Office‑serving communities in Rutland County are a healthy place to live, learn, work, and play. We are seeking a Public Health Nurse Supervisor to oversee community‑level immunization and infectious disease prevention efforts, with a strong focus on advancing health equity. This role will lead a dedicated, dynamic, and caring team of clinical and non‑clinical staff toward improving population‑level health through the delivery of essential public health services such as chronic disease prevention, immunizations, maternal and child health, healthy homes, infectious disease, school health, and emergency preparedness.
The position is a member of the Rutland District leadership team and supervises five staff, requiring extensive relationship building with staff, state partners, and community partners.
• Performance management of nursing and non‑nursing staff
• Coordination and implementation of local public health programs
• Provision of clinical direction to nursing staff
• Staff development, evaluation, and performance management
• Evaluation of interventions to improve health outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to lead implementation of population‑level public health interventions in a culturally competent way.
- Demonstrated excellence in building collaborative relationships to address complex social issues that impact health.
- Strong project management, group facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong supervision skills and considerable knowledge in conflict resolution, motivation, and coaching skills.
