Clinical Technologist – Radiotherapy Treatment Planning

A Vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking to recruit to this permanent, full-time post, an enthusiastic, self-motivated Clinical Technologist to a Band 5 role within the Radiotherapy Treatment Planning team.

Applicants should have a level of technical competence, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, hardworking and embrace the Trust values.

Hours of working will need to be flexible and will reflect the needs of the department. Treatment planning staff have the option of working from home, for up to 40% of their contracted hours, once suitably competent.

Responsibilities
  • Produce IMRT, VMAT and SA  radiotherapy treatment plans.
  • Assist in radiotherapy equipment dosimetry and quality control.
  • Work with other clinical technologists and clinical scientists within the radiotherapy physics unit and in collaboration with Clinical Engineers, Radiographers, Clinical Oncologists and Specialist Registrars to enable the provision of safe and effective radiotherapy for patients.
Qualifications
  • Experience in radiotherapy treatment planning (IMRT, VMAT, SA ).
  • Technical competence in the use of the Ray Station treatment planning system and MOSAIQ oncology information management system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and embrace the Trust values.
