Are you passionate about exercise? Do you have an interest in health promotion? We are looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join our Integrated Neurology Service. Your main role will be to support weekly exercise classes in Bromsgrove and you will run exercise and education sessions with the support of a qualified therapist. You will also support the therapists with other clinical duties as required.

Please note the Trust will not routinely provide sponsorship to work for this role. In addition to meeting the Home Office salary threshold you must have the significant experience to be offered top of the pay band AND work a minimum of 35.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job- Running exercise and education sessions for patients with a neurological condition, to improve their functional ability and promote self-management of their condition.
- Booking appointments and arranging the classes.
- Completing pre and post class outcome measures.
- Supporting patients to attend community exercise classes or community gyms as a follow-on from attending the classes.

- Experience of working with adults in a health / social care setting.
- Experience of working in rehabilitation or neurological conditions.
- Experience of exercise provision.
- Basic knowledge of physical / neurological conditions.
- A level of understanding of rehabilitation.
- Level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ 3, A-level) in Care or equivalent experience or Level 2 qualification (e.g., NVQ2, GCSE Grade A-C) in Care and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 3 qualification on appointment to post.
- Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
