Refund Specialist II - REMOTE

• Review refund requests daily for completeness and submit for approval
• Compile and send necessary documentation for refund check processing bi‑monthly
• Track check posting information and update the Credit Balance Spreadsheet daily
• Perform follow‑up on checks that have not cleared the bank and research returned checks
• Maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality standards for medical and financial information

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of three years of medical billing experience required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy required
• Familiarity with payor contracts
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and attention to detail

• 2+ years of posting experience
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Accurate data entry skills
• Advanced office skills
