Position: In Home Therapist - Full Time or Part Time

In-Home Youth & Family Therapist Opportunity – 24, 32, or 40 hours per week

Fuller Hospital is a 109‑bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts, providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co‑occurring psychiatric and substance‑abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).

The In‑Home Therapy Program delivers intensive therapy and family sessions in the home, guided by a master’s‑level clinician (IHT) and a bachelor’s‑level support staff (TT&S). The goal is to improve family dynamics, healthy functioning within the home/community, and prevent escalation to higher levels of care.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate intensive in‑home family therapy sessions with youth under 21 and their families, implementing therapeutic interventions, parent coaching, crisis intervention, psycho‑education, etc.
  • Coordinate with a bachelor’s‑level para‑professional (TT&S) who assists with co‑facilitating sessions, treatment planning, and case management.
  • Complete paperwork such as progress notes, comprehensive and CANS assessments, safety plans, treatment plans, etc.
  • Provide crisis intervention, crisis calls, and skills coaching as needed.
  • Coordinate care with collateral contacts regarding treatment plan goals and progress.
  • Identify and utilize community resources; provide aftercare referrals to sustain treatment progress.
Position Structure

Client Diagnoses: trauma, behavioral problems, depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, ODD, and other presenting problems.

Hours
  • Hiring part‑time (24 hours) and full‑time (32 or 40 hours) staff.
  • Schedule is created based on your and the client’s availability; typical sessions after school, or during day and weekends as needed.
  • Work from home (outside of sessions) with provided laptop for documentation and Zoom.
  • No required office presence; office space available if desired.
Caseload

Part‑time (24 hrs) ~4‑6 cases; full‑time (32‑40 hrs) ~8‑10 cases. Actual caseload depends on hours and client needs.

Areas of Service

Service area:
Southeast Region of MA (Attleboro, Taunton, Mansfield, Foxboro, etc.) and surrounding towns, with possibility to serve cases in New Bedford/Fall River if the clinician lives nearby. Referrals are centrally coordinated to minimize travel.

Crisis Stabilization

Clients may call for crisis support. Safety plans are created with clients to outline skills and supports. If unavailable, refer to 24‑hour crisis line.

Supervision

One hour per week of face‑to‑face supervision (in‑person or Zoom) with a licensed clinician, plus optional weekly group supervision.

Staff Meeting

Mandatory 1‑hour weekly meeting on Thursdays 12‑1 pm, via Zoom with one in‑person session per month.

Paperwork
  • Progress notes and billing due on Monday by 2:00 pm.
  • Other paperwork (CANS assessments, treatment plan updates) due every 3 months.
  • Electronic forms provided; admin staff files paperwork.
  • Insurance authorizations handled by staff.
Telehealth

Both telehealth and in‑person, socially distant sessions (with masks) are offered; decision made jointly by clinician and family.
