We are looking for therapists interested in a variety of complex patient populations. The position will rotate to a wide variety of patient populations within the Adult Acute Care hospitals. In this position you would evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop or restore function and enhance maximum performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

• If licensed before 1/1/2007;
  Bachelors degree in Occupational Health
• If licensed on or after 1/1/2007;
  Masters degree or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
• Satisfactory completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
• Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment.
• Possession of a current state License to practice therapy in Michigan. New Grads welcome to apply.
• Experience in an acute care setting at an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered.

• This position requires extensive standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients

This is a 28 hour a week position to work weekdays and weekends and to include some holidays. This position will have the opportunity to transition to a full time 40 hr schedule in the near future.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
