Appalachian Mountain Health seeks a Billing and Insurance Specialist to support our outsourced billing provider. The role ensures medical and dental claims are filed accurately and on time, resolves coding and claim issues, and maintains accurate patient accounts.

• File and track medical and dental claims accurately and timely.
• Resolve claims and coding-related issues with providers and insurance companies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maximize claim life‑cycle accuracy and efficiency.

• Minimum of 1 year remote work experience.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable and Claims follow‑up.
• Background check and drug screen required.

• Billing or Coding certification.
• Two years of experience in billing operations at a health facility.
• Clinical knowledge sufficient to converse with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
• Strong healthcare software experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and follow‑up skills.
• Ability to observe and document workflow, read and comprehend general instructions and correspondence.

• 8‑hour shift, Day shift.
• Monday to Friday.

  In person, Asheville, NC 28801.

Candidate must be able to reliably commute to Asheville, NC 28801 or plan to relocate before starting work.
