Key Responsibilities:
Screening and Assessment
Conduct screening and assessment of sensory, motor, and developmental milestones.
Identify developmental delays and functional limitations in children and adults with disabilities.
Conduct screening camps as part of outreach and early identification initiatives.
Therapeutic Intervention and Rehabilitation
Plan and deliver therapeutic interventions based on assessed needs.
Provide early intervention and rehabilitation services through mobile units.
Offer home-based intervention services through scheduled home visits.
Assistive Devices and Referrals
Recommend appropriate aids and assistive devices based on functional assessment.
Support distribution and correct usage of assistive aids and appliances.
Facilitate referrals to specialized services, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers when required.
Training and Capacity Building
Organize and conduct training programs for caregivers, families, and community members.
Provide guidance to families on daily care, stimulation, and developmental support.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records, case files, and documentation of assessments and interventions.
Prepare reports as required for project monitoring and review.
Handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
Counselling and Support Services
Provide counselling and guidance to persons with disabilities and their families.
Support beneficiaries in accessing disability certificates, government schemes, and entitlements.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in project activities and initiatives as assigned from time to time.
Support multidisciplinary interventions delivered through the mobile unit.
Educational
Qualifications:
BOT / PGDEI / Bachelor's in Developmental Therapy or equivalent qualification, or
MSc in Disability Studies (Early Intervention) from an RCI-recognized institute
RCI or relevant professional council registration (Mandatory)
Experience and Other Requirements:
3–5 years of relevant experience working with persons with disabilities.
Experience in early intervention, rehabilitation, or community-based disability programs.
Ability to work sensitively with children, adults with disabilities, and their families.
