Patient Access Rep I - Scheduling - REMOTE (Must reside in FL)

Join the Florida Orthopaedic Institute as a Patient Access Representative I in a remote, call‑center environment. The role focuses on obtaining patient demographics, insurance information, and scheduling appointments while following physician protocols and agency policies.

Position Summary

The Patient Access Representative I will manage all new patient registrations, schedule appointments, and ensure compliance with all company plans, policies, and procedures. The position requires a high level of customer service, organization, and the ability to manage high call volumes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register new patients in the computer system by collecting demographics, insurance info, and referral source; update records from prior visits as needed.
  • Handle all scheduling requests in accordance with physician and authorization protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all company plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with registration, scheduling, and healthcare benefits is helpful.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong typing skills in a Windows‑based environment.
