Join the Florida Orthopaedic Institute as a Patient Access Representative I in a remote, call‑center environment. The role focuses on obtaining patient demographics, insurance information, and scheduling appointments while following physician protocols and agency policies.
Position SummaryThe Patient Access Representative I will manage all new patient registrations, schedule appointments, and ensure compliance with all company plans, policies, and procedures. The position requires a high level of customer service, organization, and the ability to manage high call volumes.
Key Responsibilities- Register new patients in the computer system by collecting demographics, insurance info, and referral source; update records from prior visits as needed.
- Handle all scheduling requests in accordance with physician and authorization protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all company plans, policies, and procedures.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
- High school graduate.
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with registration, scheduling, and healthcare benefits is helpful.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong typing skills in a Windows‑based environment.
