Lead Product Manager; Medicaid

Humana is seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Manager to own and advance the intake process and facilitate key Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) ceremonies for the Medicaid portfolio. The Lead Product Manager will be responsible for optimizing intake workflows, driving cross‑functional collaboration, and managing vital meetings such as the Medicaid Triage and Product Standup.

• Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the Medicaid intake process, ensuring requests are efficiently captured, prioritized, and assigned in accordance with Agility Enablement Hub Lean‑Agile Center of Excellence (AEH LACE) guidelines.

• Serve as the primary Alaska The facilitator for Medicaid Product Standup and Medicaid Triage meetings, ensuring effective communication, clear action items, and alignment with portfolio goals.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, and product teams to ensure transparency and accountability in intake and triage activities.

• Monitor and report on intake process performance, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency based on stakeholder feedback and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Support continuous prioritization efforts, aligning new work requests with ongoing initiatives and strategic objectives using Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) principles.

• Leverage tools such as Jira Align and Azure Dev Ops (ADO) to track requests, manage Kanban boards, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Ensure compliance with established portfolio management standards and lead process improvement initiatives.

• Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the Medicaid product team and with cross‑functional partners.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.

• Minimum five (5) years of product management experience, with demonstrated success managing intake or triage processes in a portfolio or agile environment.

• Two (2) or more years of experience leading change management initiatives in a matrixed environment.

• Proven experience leading meetings and ceremonies in an LPM or SAFe context.

• Proficiency with Jira Align, ADO, and other portfolio management tools.

• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.

• Master’s degree in business, technology or a related field.

• Knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management and Medicaid program operations is highly desirable.

• Leading SAFe (SA) certification.

• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification.

• Workstyle: This is a remote position.

• Travel: This role may require up to 10% travel for onsite meetings,  could include locations outside your state of residence.

  Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).

• At minimum: a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

• Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi‑weekly payment for their internet expense.

• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
