Medical Assistant – Rubin Center Psychiatry

Tempe, AZ | Part-Time or Full-Time | Hybrid (In-Person + Remote) | $20/hr starting

Rubin Center Psychiatry is seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing outpatient mental health practice. This hybrid position includes both in-person and remote work, offering exceptional exposure to clinical psychiatry and psychology—ideal for pre-health, pre-med, pre-PA, and pre-nursing students looking to gain meaningful hands-on experience.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting clinicians with patient intake, chart preparation, and care coordination
  • Supporting medication workflows (refills, prior authorizations, pharmacy communication)
  • Managing phones, patient messages, scheduling, and front-desk duties
  • Preparing clinical forms, documentation, and patient support materials
  • Helping maintain an organized, professional, patient-centered environment
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff
