Medical Assistant – Rubin Center Psychiatry
Tempe, AZ | Part-Time or Full-Time | Hybrid (In-Person + Remote) | $20/hr starting
Rubin Center Psychiatry is seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing outpatient mental health practice. This hybrid position includes both in-person and remote work, offering exceptional exposure to clinical psychiatry and psychology—ideal for pre-health, pre-med, pre-PA, and pre-nursing students looking to gain meaningful hands-on experience.
Responsibilities include:- Assisting clinicians with patient intake, chart preparation, and care coordination
- Supporting medication workflows (refills, prior authorizations, pharmacy communication)
- Managing phones, patient messages, scheduling, and front-desk duties
- Preparing clinical forms, documentation, and patient support materials
- Helping maintain an organized, professional, patient-centered environment
- Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff
- Hybrid role: a mix of in-person and remote administrative/clinical tasks
- Starting rate: $20/hour
, with opportunities for pay increases based on performance, skill development, and longevity in the practice - Exposure to child, adolescent, adult, and neurodiversity-affirming psychiatric care
