Rehab Admissions Liaison PRN

Inova Rehab Admissions department seeks a Rehab Admissions Liaison (RAL) to work on a PRN basis. The position can be up to 16‑21 hrs/week with a weekend rotation every 2 months, and will also provide coverage during major holidays. The RAL will cover on‑site at various Inova hospital locations and occasionally work from home, depending địa the territory assignment. Work locations include Inova Mt.

Vernon, Inova Alexandria, and Inova Fairfax.

• Build close relationships with assigned hospital discharge planners, payer contacts, and physicians through routine contact based on referral volume. Identify issues/needs and work to resolve them.
• Follow up promptly when customer needs are not met and problems occur. Contact customers within 24 hours with problem resolutions. Solicit feedback from top referrals and use data from direct contacts, internal feedback, or surveys to address issues.
• Make five marketing/referral development calls/visits per week. Schedule quarterly contacts with low‑volume referral sources and identify sources for increased referrals in assigned geographic regions.
• Respond to voicemail messages within one hour during business days or by 8:30 a.m. the next business day if received after hours. Respond to pages immediately or as soon as safe to do so if driving.
• Communicate referral decisions clearly, including reasons for denied or deferred admissions and time frames for delays or requirements needed to finalize decisions (e.g., MD consult, payer clarification, unresolved medical issues).
• Provide timely and specific information to team and bed‑assignment personnel as soon as confirmation is determined from referral sources, payers, or other parties. Communicate special circumstances to program staff to facilitate customer satisfaction and meet special needs. Anticipate issues or concerns of referral sources and seek proactive solutions. Seek feedback and maintain ongoing communication channels with potential and current referral sources.

• Certification:
  Not required.
• Licensure:
  Must be licensed in Virginia as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
• Experience:
  
  2 years of clinical experience in acute rehab, acute care, or case management setting.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speechffic Speech Therapy.
