Healthpoint Advisor

27.75 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Healthpoint Advisor to join the Public Health Directorate’s Health Improvement Team. The successful candidate will provide free information, support and advice to the public. Working as part of a team, the post holder will work with the public to support them to improve their health and wellbeing. The successful applicants should have a qualification in Public Health, Nursing or a related health subject to at least HND or equivalent experience.

Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal, customer care and IT skills are essential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathetic approach with an ability to motivate and empower clients to support wellbeing.

Additional Information For Candidates

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
