Peer Support Specialist - Fully Remote in Deming, Mexico

• Maintain HIPAA compliance while working from home in a private office space
• Engage with callers over the phone, building rapport and client engagement
• Provide necessary resources or information to callers seeking support
• Remain calm and professional while multitasking to assist callers effectively
• Work holidays and weekends as part of a 24/7 peer support service

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
• Current experience as a peer with a willingness to acquire certification as per applicable laws and regulations
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Commitment to personal recovery and ongoing professional development

• Experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
• Familiarity with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL) processes
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards individuals in crisis
• Previous training in mental health or related fields
• Knowledge of community resources for individuals seeking support
