Position: Peer Support Specialist - Fully Remote in Rio Rancho, New Mexico

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Engage with callers over the phone to provide peer support and build rapport
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance while working from home
  • Offer available resources and information to callers seeking support
  • Remain calm and professional while multitasking to support callers effectively
  • Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with fellow Peer Support Specialists
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
  • Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire certification in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a personal commitment to recovery
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
  • Familiarity with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to connect with diverse individuals and build empowering relationships
  • Knowledge of available resources for individuals seeking support
