An opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive teletherapy services in a K-12 school setting. This contract position is specifically to cover a maternity leave, beginning early February and concluding at the end of the school year.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 40 to 50 students ranging in age from Pre-K through 5th grade, delivering both direct and indirect speech-language therapy services. The schedule requires full-time availability, with approximately 19.38 hours dedicated to direct therapy sessions weekly, and a total of 28.38 hours when including indirect service tasks such as documentation and parent communication. The role focuses on pediatric practice and offers the chance to apply teletherapy skills effectively within a school environment.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience Include
  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy, particularly within school settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy practices and technologies
  • Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload across early childhood to elementary grade levels
  • Strong organizational skills to balance direct and indirect service responsibilities

This contract position is based in Black Mountain, NC, within an educational setting serving children from Pre-K through high school grades, though current caseload focus is on early childhood and elementary students.
