Overview:The Surgical Technician I will function as a member of the patient care team, under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or registered nurse. This position provides technical skills in the role of the surgical scrub before, during and after

- Demonstrates competency as a Surgical Technologist
- Demonstrates the knowledge of risk and safety issues and uses measures to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Demonstrates actions that exhibit accountability and professional judgement.
- Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred or
- HS diploma or equivalent Required and 1-2 years experience Surgical Technologist experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred

Remote Work/Work from Home:This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
