Outpatient Pharmacy Technician; Flexi

Overview

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Flexi Pharmacy Technician for our Outpatient Pharmacy.

Harrisonburg, VA

Work Shift:

Rotating

Status:
Flexi / PRN (1-8 hours per week with opportunities to pick up additional hours)

Hours:

8:30am–7:00pm M-F; 11:00am–5:00pm Weekends

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician s scope of practice as needed
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
• A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
• CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required)

• Previous Pharmacy Tech Experience (Required)
