About The Role
As a Market Access Manager, you will develop and lead Market Access strategies focused on the Public/Tender reimbursement environment across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. You will work cross-functionally with Government Affairs, Medical, Marketing and Value Access colleagues to ensure launch readiness and sustainable growth for our vaccine’s portfolio, enhance payer engagement, and expand patient access.
Responsibilities- Develop a detailed understanding of the Public/Tender access landscape across GCC markets to identify barriers and opportunities from both health system and patient perspectives.
- Lead Market Access Strategy and Launch Excellence Plans for vaccines in the Public/Tender sector, ensuring alignment with regional and country-level priorities.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with public health authorities and other payers; identify partnership opportunities to support reimbursement, formulary inclusion and broader patient access.
- Support development of payer-centric value propositions in collaboration with Medical, Marketing and Value Access teams.
- Conduct and interpret market research and payer landscape analyses to inform strategy and support business sustainability.
- Monitor trends in payer policies, healthcare financing and access pathways; identify risks and mitigation actions and work with Government Affairs to inform partnership agendas.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure consistent operational execution of Market Access plans and alignment across therapy areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Business Administration or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ pharmaceutical experience with exposure to Market Access, Healthcare, Government Affairs or related roles, preferably in vaccines or public-sector reimbursement.
- Recent gulf countries experience is preferred (UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain)
- Recent vaccine experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of payer dynamics, healthcare systems, and pharmaceutical market access processes in the GCC region.
- Proven experience building strategic partnerships with public health authorities and other external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, data interpretation and evidence-based value messaging.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple markets and adapt to diverse regulatory and healthcare environments.
This is a hybrid role based in either Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain with regular travel across Gulf markets. Specific working pattern will be agreed with your manager in line with local policy.
