Social Work Team Manager – Assessment & Intervention Team

We are on the lookout for an experienced Social Work Team Manager to join our Assessment & Intervention Team in Newham. With a competitive rate of £45.20 per hour and the flexibility of an ongoing contract, this is a thrilling opportunity to make impactful changes.

This full-time position offers a hybrid working model, requiring you to visit the Newham Dockside office once a week and during your duty week. Your work will be instrumental in shaping our Newham Together vision.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage a team of 6-8 social workers, providing guidance and ensuring the delivery of high-quality practice to children and families.
  • Foster a supportive and secure environment encouraging open discussion and systemic practice.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to implement strategies that support the Newham Together vision.
  • Ensure the team complies with all legal regulations and standards in social work.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure that your team’s work is aligned with the borough’s objectives for social care.
