About the RoleAs aSpeech and Language Therapist, you’ll work across the 0–25 age range, delivering evidence-based interventions and supporting schools, families, and professionals to improve outcomes for children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary locality hub team, contributing to statutory processes and developing inclusive practices. Across the team, you will benefit from excellent peer support.
There is a fantastic developmental opportunity to act up as a Speech and Language Therapist Manager one day a week. You would be supported by the wider Speech and Language Therapy leadership team to carry out the responsibilities of a SaLT manager. This would suit a SaLT looking to undertake a managerial role in the future.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload and deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions.
- Provide training, coaching, and modelling to education staff and families.
- Contribute to EHCPs, reviews, and statutory assessments.
- Develop accessible resources and support materials.
- Collaborate with health, education, and social care professionals.
- Promote inclusive practice in settings such as Targeted Mainstream Provisions, Youth Justice, and our innovative No Wrong Door service.
- HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Strong understanding of SLCN and its impact on learning and development.
- Experience working with children and families across the 0–25 age range.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel across the county.
